We are seeking a Calibration Technician I with Process Instrumentation and Controls experience to add to our growing company. This Calibration Technician I position provides calibration support to one or more of our Raleigh, NC client facilities as well as support needed at any of our clients across the United States. Calibration technicians work together when visiting manufacturing plants and laboratories to calibrate, troubleshoot, install, or audit various equipment and loop systems. We work closely with the engineering and maintenance departments at the client facility to ensure the calibrations are performed accurately and in compliance with the FDA and/or ISO guidelines. Some of the equipment requiring calibration include:
- pressure, flow, vacuum and temperature gauges and instruments
- environmental chambers and controls
- utility systems
- scales and balances
- electrical and dimensional instruments
Military equivalent experience may include PMEL, 2P0X1, TMDE, Metrology and/or Electronics. Calibration Technicians are trained on the job to learn new instrumentation, and FDA and ISO documentation requirements.
The Calibration Technician I will also be responsible for cGMP compliant documentation and monitoring of quality systems. Along with documenting the calibrations performed, the instrumentation data and schedule will be maintained in a CMMS database. SAP, ProCal, RAM or Maximo experience is desired.
Required skills of the Calibration Technician I include:
A two-year degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, other related technical field or equivalent military training and two years of applicable (Metrology, Instrumentation, Calibration) experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
The Calibration Technician I position requires up to 75% overnight travel based on project and client needs.
